On December 26th i was in a car wreck that caused me to have a broken ankle and a fractured back. On the 28th of december i had surgery on my ankle. No screws or pins or plates where put in my foot. From what i understand is that something poped out and they had to put it back in. I saw my foot doctor last week an he took out my staples and told me to continue to wear my air boot and do not put any wheight on my foot. My question is how long will i be in this airboot? And also once i start physical therapy will i continue to wear my boot or can i get a ankle support brace that you see athletes wear, so i can wear shoes. The doctor told me that the next time he saw me that he was gona try to move my foot and get physical therapy started. I am a 24yr old healthy male so i hope that helps. I just want to no if i will be walking by March 20, 2 months from now....even if walking is done minimual
Also at the same time i fractured my lower back vertabrae, I feel alot better now with minimal pain iam am able to stand and function normaly with little pain. I see my back doctor next week, I have been on bed rest since the accident. Does anyone no if he will take me out of bedrest and i be able to use krutches? and also i have a lump or hump in my upper spine....is this normal?
