About to PCS to Hood in a little over a month. Can't seem to decide if we should live off post or on post.We currently live on post at our current location, and it's got its ups and downs. Off post sounds kinda nice, but I'm hearing that the commute to base every day can be ridiculous as far as traffic. Any thoughts or opinions from other military families that have lived at Hood on what you liked best? How long was the housing waiting list for you when you PCS'ed there?
Lol...we are very accustomed to having tactical vehicles and helicopters all around. That doesn't bother us, heck, it's a MILITARY base... what do you expect? Lol.
