I'm forming an internet start-up in Illinois (essentially in the publishing business) and I'd like to incorporate it. Does anyone know what exactly I have to do? I've read that I may need some sort of permission in every state that I operate in, is this true? As my business will be online and thus worldwide do I need to incorporate everywhere or just in Illinois? Also, I will be running the business out of my home, do I need a permit to do that or not as it will be exclusively online?
