forgot samsung memoir password?

I have been using another cell phone for a few years and i forgot the password to this one when i turn it on it says it need a 4-8 character password. is there a way i can reset it or something because i want to sell it but no one will by with password on it. this is the discription under the battery.

FCC ID: A3LSGHT929
SSN: -T929GSMH
WILL NOT GIVE SERIAL NUMBER!!!
