I heard from a newspaper editor that Toyota, Honda and Hyundai give more money back to American economy by using more American materials and building more car factories in the USA compared to Ford, GM and Chrysler.

he also told me that some money going back to Korean and Japanese pockets are not as bad as GM, Ford and Chrysler giving money to foreign workers.
Is it true? I used to love American cars.. now I want to buy a Hyundai Sonata, Honda Accord, or Toyota Camry (those cars use mostly American materials and are American made)

I have heard the same thing. I do not know the truth behind it all, but I do know that Toyota has a lot of factories in the US, and my GM was made in Canada. I wish I could help you more, but keep me updated on what you find out, I would like to also know.

not even close to the truth. this editor needs to recheck the facts. most of the money we spend on camrys & accords goes to making japan's economy stronger and ours weaker.
