Hi, I own a 2001 Ford Windstar. About a month ago, my RPM dial died. It is now stuck in place all the way to the right. Today, while driving, all of my needles were moving all around really fast. One minute it said I was going 170 mph, The next minute it said my car was so hot and I was going to blow up! Now my RPM and my MPH are both all the way to the right, while my Temperature and my Fuel Level needles have resumed working. What is wrong with my car? Is it a blown fuse? Help.

I don't think it is a fuse, but check them anyway, I could be mistaken. Then check the condition of your battery terminals. Clean any corrosion and make certain they are tight. If that is not the problem, check for a poor connection where a bundle of wires may connect. Disengage the locking tabs, unplug and re-plug. Check under the dash too. It this does not help I guess a trip to the auto electrical shop may be required. Unless you find the answer in another user answer, good luck.

It can't be a blown fuse or the dash would get no power whatsoever.

Could you have short-circuited it? Perhaps it gotten some of the circuitry wet?
