Ford vs. Chevrolet - Opinions?

I recently test drove a Ford Expedition and a Chevrolet Tahoe. It was obvious that the Ford was much better built and much more stout and sturdy. I also noticed the same difference when I recently test drove a Ford F-150 and a Chevrolet Silverado, again the Ford was much better built and much more stout and sturdy.

Also if you look at auto reviews, Ford generally has better reliability than Chevrolet.

I am guessing this is one of the main reasons why Ford is doing so well while Chevrolet (General Motors) almost went out of business.

So why is it that some people still try to say that Chevrolet is better than Ford when Ford obviously makes much better built vehicles?

It all depends on what you like and which era you grew up in and what type of vehicles you are looking at. Yeah ford trucks can be better but you can compare Chevys mid sized sedan to Fords and Chevys might be better or Fords might be better but if the Ford seems to be nicer for you go with the Ford.
 
Im a chevy fan but the fact of them going out of business you might need to think about the fact that they are the biggest car maker in the world or company at that so when a crises hits like it has there's a lot of car company's that are at stake and the largest company will take the biggest hit.

-Fiat (GM has decided to divorce itself from Fiat as of Feb '05, but will retain 10% ownership.)
-GMC
-Holden
-Hummer
-Oldsmobile (brand discontinued)
-Opel
-Pontiac
-Saab
-Saturn
-Suzuki (2.5%, from 20%)
-Vauxhall

as you can see there kinda a big difference there.
ford took it's hits to but they have less on the line the GM had
like I said before when all cars are not selling and making there numbers the largest company takes the biggest hit.

And I have a 2004 2500 Hd Gas and it's tuff as hell and my Buddy has a power stroke and I kill him all the time no contest and my dad has a duramax and it will blow my doors off . I see people drop thousands of bucks in powerstroke just to keep up with stock duramax trucks. But I do like the new Hd ford trucks and I will say I like fors interior better then chevy but not GMC .
GMC is kinda the show boat for chevy I think and I would love to get a duramax sSIERRA2500 hd they are stupid nice. my chevy is nice but I have seen fords inside it they look better im not going to lie. but Ill still roll the chevys as far as trucks go they all do there job even dodge is good. people will always have the truck they like and the ford vs chevy thing will never die but powerstrok vs duramax chevy all the way 360 HP at 3,200 RPM's or 650 lb-ft of torque at 1,600 RPM's. stock fords 6.4 powerstroke is the ononly thinghat comes close and its still not there
 
Get a ford. Ford is by far the better of the two. People say Chevy is better because of personal bias not looking at the facts. Ford is better built and doesnt cut corners. Look at the differences in the frames of the two trucks to get an idea
