Ford versus Chrystler? Which is better in the long run?

Right now Hubby and I have a 2003 Ford Windstar and would like to upgrade a bit. We are looking at a 2006 Chrystler Pacifica and a 2006 Ford Explorer - which will be better in the long run? We've had great luck with Ford's and I'm a little nervoust to break our streak...but I don't know much about Chrystlers. What should we be weary of? How can you compare the two? What kinds of problems might I encounter with a Chrystler?

Seriously, get over the typo, no need to be snooty! Sheesh. It's almost one in the morning, I'm a full time student and full time Mom, and I'm too darn tired to think straight, so FORGIVE me if I spelled Chryslter wrong! LOL

Ford is much more reliable than Chrysler * now a days

but be aware that Ford engineers have nicknamed the 06 Explorer " the Exploder" ( I have no idea why , and they wont say)

* mid 60's to early 70's Mopars were the cars to dream of owning
