I have a 93 Ford Tempo. When i attempt to start it it starts just like any other normal cars... however sometimes when i turn the key it doesn't make any noise at all when starting. The key is turned and it doesn't even attempt to start..? What should i do.. get a new starter or solenoid?

solonoid but the tempo is prone to electrical switch problems. test the solonoid with a test light. the electrical switch for the tempo is on top of the steering column.it is held in place by two small screws. The switch has a tendency to slide a little over time. Then the starter doesent get power because the switch doesnt go to the start position. If a test light doesnt show power then it is most likely the switch
