Ford Tech. Please or anyone that can help!?

I have a 98 Explorer Sport 4.0 SOHC 4x4, I have a basic heating a/c unit in my car, I just bought an eatc from a 97 Explorer as well as a message center from a 99 Explorer. Will this fit and work properly in my vehicle Ive heard they will then Ive heard they wont.
