I have a 2002 Ford Taurus that is losing PS fluid. It first happened back in early June where I found the reservoir empty I filled it and about a week later it emptied out again. Then no problems at all as I was always checking the reservoir and it was full. Then about a day ago it started to happen again however this time I fill it and 15 min later it is empty again. It does not appear to be leaking onto the ground but appears to be shooting back through the pin hole in the reservoir as I can see fluid all over everything when I lift the hood. Is my pump gone bad? maybe clogged? Money IS the main factor in this so before I get mugged at the mechanics want to know if its something maybe not so bad.
