ford taurus car temperature drops at highway speed, why?

Earlier I looked for the question & answer for this here on yahoo answer. I could not find it. I now know the answer to my question.
My Ford Taurus's car temperature drops highway speed, why?
The mechanic that worked on my car put the thermostat in backwards.
I flipped it and replaced the gasket. work great, done!
