Certain radio certain stations have 'TP' and some have TP' with a little box around them. What does this mean?
Also what does 'NEWS' mean?

news just menas your radio will tune in to news stations which only play news, no music etc.
TP i think is something to do with traffic alerts, so like every 20 mins a traffic update for your area will cut in (even if in a song) and give you details of accidents / black spotsetc
As the first answer said, 'NEWS' means you can pick up frequencies of news only radio stations.
TP is 'Traffic Programme'. When this is enabled it increases the volume of the radio when the traffic announcments come on on the station you are listening to.
