I have a 1993 ford ranger xlt 4.0 v6, there is a clicking noise comming from the left side of the engine at about 2600 rpm when i comming up the highway. any one know what that sound is, sounds like under the valve cover.

Stick a small hose in your ear and poke it around so you can pinpoint the source of the sound. It could also be a leaky exhaust manifold- through a bad gasket or a crack in the manifold. If it's a noisy valve rocker, it should be noisy all the time. Just to be thourough, check your oil and make sure you have enough.
