Ford ranger 2.3L 4 cylinder fuel pumps wont turn on ?

I bought A new relay but the fuel pump still wont turn on. the fuel pump is brand new and it works when i put direct wiring to it. the pumps turned on when i used the truck before im not sure what it could be. i would appreciate any answers
 
You don't mention what year.. but there is a fuel shut off switch on the passengers side that needs to be reset...not sure if this helps..good luck
 
I would check the fuel pump inertia switch to see if it has been throw ed or maybe unplugged by a passenger.It`s by the right kick panel.
