I have a 94 ford probe... and when I try to shift into gear, it grinds like I'm not far enough in gear, but I'm pushing it all the way to the wall. the fact that it grinds leads me to believe that it's not the transmission, because its trying to catch.
could this just be my linkage between the shifter and the tranny? if so is there a way to just tighten it up?
the clutch is fine... when it is engaged the grinding stops... it grinds like it doesnt know whether it is in neutral or not... and I can put it in gear and take my feet off all the petals and it won't bog out
