All right, let me just give you some background info. So I'm going into my senior year of high school this September, and I'm going to need a car for senior year and college.
I've got a maximum budget of $10,000 but I'm probably not gonna spend over $9000 as I dont want anything fancy but a little nice and fun would be great.
I've singled it down to two certain makes of cars. (yes both are and must be convertible, i've ALWAYS wanted one!)
Either the:
Toyota Solara (convertible)
or the
Ford Mustang (convertible)
Both cars come in my price range, Which ever one i get, it will DEFINITELY be used, the year will probably be somewhere between 1999 and 2005, mileage can go as far as up to 100,000 (my current car is my parents dying 2000 lexus ES with 175,000 miles, so ANYTHING is an upgrade).
Im not big on "performance" for my first car. Specs like "x" horse power, "x" cylinders, "x" liter V"x" engine don't really matter.
My primary concerns are:
-Reliability
-Safety
-Gas usage (MPG)
-Features
-Over all fun factor/which is better
so please dont throw specs at me, just give me a general yet well explained answer as to which car is better! Thanks!
