Hi!
Ford Mustang was the first car I fell in love with back when I saw one on 2005. It was truly unique. However, it lacked power back then. With the 2011 version, the V6 has 305 hp, while the V8 has 411 hp. It is a really good, masculine car, especially with lots of power, and a manual transmission. However, a lot of people drive Mustangs, and it is not good for snow. I live in Canada, where the winter is filled with snow.
I also love the VW GTi, with 200 hp. It is a very adorable car, with really upscale interior for the price. It has good acceleration, and a moderately high top speed. It can seat five comfortably, and has really well stitched seats.
I am torn between these two cars. I love a Mustang, but it does not have the refinement of the GTi, and is tough in snow. It is also significantly big. I love a GTi, but I am not a big fan of hatchbacks, and it looks plain compared to the mustang's sporty looks.
I am new to manual transmissions, and still have troubles to sense when to change gears from the sounds alone. A Mustang might be a handful, but I am not sure.
Plus, should I buy, or lease? I want to drive a good car, but sometimes newer year brings better models. Any opinions? Thank you very much.
