Does Saleen use the stock Ford engine in the mustang s281? If so then the parts added by Saleen produce the extra 150+ horsepower? These parts being:

* Saleen Series VI.5 integrated twin-screw supercharger
* Saleen dual-stage water-to-air intercooler system
* Saleen 39 lb. fuel injectors
* Hi-flow inlet tube and air box cover
* Saleen performance air filter
* 5-speed, short-throw manual transmission
* 8.8-inch limited-slip differential, 3.73:1/3.31:1 final drive (coupe/convertible)
* Saleen Performance Exhaust System with stainless steel chrome tips

Is this what creates the extra HP? If I add these parts whenever they are available to my 2010 mustang V8 will it be producing close to the same numbers as the S281?
Thank-You

The parts you need to up the HP are the supercharger, intercooler, 39 lb injectors, and maybe the exhaust. Most likely there is a different cam involved and a few other engine parts too. Like pistons, crankshaft and valve work. So it is just not so simple as bolting on parts to a normal factory engine. Try starting with a Ford motor sport block or create engine to do this.
