Ford Mondeo MK3 Locking System?

Was wondering if anyone can help or have had the same problem? Just recently I am finding that the back doors of my mondeo MK3 is not locking when I press the key fob. First it was the passager side and when that started to work the driver side stop working? It seems to switch from one side to the other. Is there away of just clearing if I have done something and getting the system to start again? Thank you
 
How long has it been since you replaced the batteries in the remote? Get a couple of new batteries and see if that helps.
