Ford Mercury Taurus Sable won't start?

have a 97 Taurus/Sable 3.0 SOHC it was running fine the engine rev'd by itself to about 2000 RPM then shut off I attempted to restart it and it won't start, pulled a spark plug and no spark it has fuel and compression just no spark, so please do not respond about fuses, fuel pump relays, or ignition. The only thing is that the car has no spark I was thinking PCM or maybe a CKP sensor oh and by the way the car shut off almost 5 minutes after turning on from cold start all other input is appreciated
