ford galaxy TDI (99-00) starting problem?

hi i have a ford galaxy tdi and if i wait for the heater plug warning light to go out the car struggles to start but if i turn the ignition over quick i.e. before the heater plug warning light goes out 9 times out of 10 it will start. a quick response will be much appreciated thanks in advance
 
sounds like the glow plugs are faulty have then checked by a garage and replace them they seem to not hold the heat enough to ignite the diesel which take a fair amount of heat to ignite
