Ford Fusion V-6 owners, what do you get for gas mileage? 2009 Fusion or 2009 Jetta TDI??

We are going to buy either a Ford Fusion V-6 or a VW Jetta TDI on Monday......need some advice from fellow owners or people familiar with the vehicles. We have them both in the same price range with equivalent options. Please include your source. THANK YOU!!!

The Jetta gets much better mileage. VW's are also horribly unreliable and expensive to fix.

Save the troubles and buy the Ford.
