It isn't. The Ford Fusion won car of the year, the Chevy did not. Ford didn't need to take government money because they had a smaller loss in the recession, Chevy did take the money because of their losses. Ford Fusion got 7.8/10 from Edmunds and is a consumer top rated vehicle, Chevrolet Cobalt got a 6.9/10 rating and is not. The only advantage the Chevrolet has is gas mileage. End.
