Ford Focus. what causes this?

Initially the speedo dial didn't work. Then all the dials started to haywire and shoot off in different directions and the drivers electric window would not operate although the passenger one would.
I took it to a garage and they said it was two relay switches gone. They were replaced and within a day the speedo only works intermittantly and the drivers window has again stopped operating. Before I return to the garage in the New Year any suggestions as to any common cause?
 
If they have said they have fixed it and you have paid for it GO back ask to see manager. Make sure you have your receipt with details on it
