Every now and then, my Focus does the self-test OK, but the starter motor simply does nothing, leaving me with the option of push-start the car.
It doesn't happen every time, so i'm dealing with an intermittent problem here.
When it works, the engine starts allright, so I assume it isn't a battery problem.
Any ideas, please????
Hi there, and thanks for your answers.
I went under the car and disassembled the unit to the last screw and found out the problem lays with a dirty coil: When it works, it all works, but if this coil fails, nothing happens.
After a good cleaning on the brushes and bearings, the problem remains, so the last option is... replacing!!!
Thanks for your tips anyways.
Regards.
