Quality Ford...yea right!..Ford has designed all Focus models, old and new, to NOT START, if a simple rear break light happens to burn out. I am wondering how many Focus owners are aware of this fact. (it is found in your manuel), and my Ford Dealer verified it on all models of Focus including my 2010 Focus. Do you think this design should be considered a defect?--- And should Ford be responsible to recall these cars to fix this defect? Your opinions please. Thank you.
I would also like to know if only one brake light burns out, will the car start, or must both lights be burned out for it not to start. Thx
Offroad, you ovbiously weren't looking where you were going to rear end some one. I have seen many cars with brake lights out, and simply kept my distance from them. Being towed for a lamp out is a discrace.
