Honestly Neither, I have heard from actual Mechanics that the Motors in the Ford Focus go out for no reason at all, some before they even reach 100,000 miles, and I know someone who owns 1, bought it brand new and had kept the maintenance up on it and has still had many probs with it. And about the Pontiac, just stay clear of Pontiacs all together. I have a 1997 Chevy Malibu, it now has over 200,000 miles on it and I have had no probs with it what so ever (besides reg. maintenance) I would definetely go with chevy they are the best!!!
