Hey, i have a ford focus. Recently, the car started to have a little flickering sound. Sounds like electric power sparkling. Then, random lights from the instrument panel started flashing for about 1/2 of a second. then it stops for a while and the flashes again. The speedometer, gauges, mileage, etc, still works. I heard people say it would be alternator, but i am not sure. It WILL NOT be a battery because there is an indicator on the battery showing green color which means the battery is still ok. But if that problem occurs, i would unplug the batter for appox. 15 minutes, and plug it back in. For the next approx. 200 miles, it would be fine. but after a week or two, the same issue started again. Will it be a alternator? How much would it be to fix it?
