Ford Focus Edge, 1.6 litre, 54 plate power steering pump replacement cost?

Hi there,

I've just had the RAC out to my 1.6, 54 plate focus edge which has been leaking clear oily fluid for 4 days from the front underneath the car.

After a lot of head scratching and jacking up the car RAC man decided he thinks my power steering pump is leaking and will need replacing.

I won't take it to a ford specialist, just my local garage for this repair. Please does anyone know or can estimate roughly how much i am looking at total cost wise for the parts and labour etc?

Any help much appreciated :)
 
wel clear fluid wouldnt be power steering fluid but really if the pump is working you sure its not a hose bad which anyone could fix at home dont need a ford tech to do that any shop can repalce anything really and much cheaper id bet its a bad hose an dnot the pump and for price just cal a parts store ask about pump or hose prices or cal a shop to have it check to know what it wrong and how mucvhto repair it depends on what is bad and who you take it to dealer would be alst place
