The engine warning light has recently came on, and it's stayed on for about 3-4 weeks now (it hasn't flashed).
The car is booked in to have it checked out by the Ford garage, but they want to charge me over £70 to put it on the diagnostics machine.
I have a 2 year guarantee and I'm told I'll get this money back IF the problem is covered by my guarantee, but if it's not (and call me a cynic, but I don't think it will be somehow!) I won't. Oh, and I only purchased the car from the same dealership 4 months ago, and they serviced the car just before I bought it.
Are there any alternatives? Is this normal? I feel like they have me bent over a barrel.
I live in England, so answers that apply to England only please.
