Ford Focus 2002 ZTS Alternator removal, HELP PLEASE!?

Hi, I'm been trying to remove my alternator from a 2002 Ford Focus zts 2.0L model and am having lots of problems getting it out! I have the dang thing loose, but cant fit it out. I removed the Exhaust heat sheild, power steering pipe, and belt, as the repair book says, but I still cannot get it out. Any hints!! Please! THANKS
