Hello,
In doing a little research it seems that my car may be having this issue (pasted from an old question):
"So, it could be a problem with one of the solenoids I mentioned earlier in the transaxle OR it could be a problem with a different sensor/wiring harness that is confusing the ECM as to when to shift. "
Any idea what it costs to fix this? The car is automatic but will not shift past 35 and just roars as if it's in neutral. Eventually it will throw itself into the gear after revving along at 35 for a bit. It also has not had working AC all summer which may or may not be connected (electrical issue?). The car has always been a bit jumpy when shifting or when you are coasting. It sounds like a lot of Focus's go through this around 60,000 miles from what I've researched on the web. Any mechanics that can give me a ball park figure?
It's a Ford Focus 2002 SE with just over 60,000 miles.
Thanks!
