Hi there,
I've recently purchased a Ford Fiesta Zetec as my first car and it's a great car. However there is one thing I'm a bit stumped about.
When locking my car with the remote locking button, it chirps 4 times and flashes its lights and locks the car. After I have done this, I've had to go back to the car as the alarm has gone off. It's done it once during the day and once at 6am.
I noticed there is some sensors above the front doors and double checked that all windows and doors were firmly shut and that theres nothing inside that could have moved.
At the moment i've locked the car with the key which doesn't activate the alarm system it seems.
My dads car which was a Skoda Felicia had a similar problem where the sensors sensitivity was too high, and caused the cars alarm to randomly go off. He fixed it after taking it to the dealer, and they turned the sensisitivy down. I don't want to do this with my car if I can avoid it.
Is there any self help options I can do to fix it?
