I have just bought a ford fiesta finesse 1.3 and I have noticed a tapping sound when the engine is on all the time. Could anyone give me some suggestions as to what this could be.
You are hearing lifter noise. Make sure the oil level is up where it should be. If this does not fix the problem there is valve lash caused by either a collapsed lifter or worn valve train components.
