Ford fiesta mk3 engine problem?

i recently brought a mk3 fiesta 1.1 as my first car. it was stood around for 3 years rotting away before i brought in but iv got it now and fixed it up its just this minor problem i cant fix.
when i accelarate the revs die down and then shoot up again and loads of white smoke comes out the exhaust any solutions?
i mixed some redx engine cleaner how long does this take to do its job?

After 3 years Redex will not cure the fuel deposit problem you seem to have - the whole fuel system needs a full clean out including the tank
