Ford Fiesta MK1 Petrol Engine, Overheating Trouble?

I have a Ford Fiesta MK1 Petrol Engine.
Recently it has started over heating, There is a lot of smoke that comes out from around the spark plugs, when run for a while!
I have boiled the thermostat and it seems to be working ok, The vehicle does not handle any differently than before, although it is still over heating.
Any Ideas?

Sounds like you have a coolant leak. Check your radiator hoses and heater hoses. With the engine running, look around the engine and find out where the coolant is coming from.

You say you checked the thermostat? Are you sure you got it sealed good? Did you use a new gasket?
