Ford Fiesta Freedom Hands Free - Samsung i8510 - Compatibility Issues?

I recently bought a Ford Fiesta Freedom which come with a built in hands free kit for the car. I have since learnt that my Samsung i8510 mobile phone is not compatible and thus wont bond with the car. Is there anything i can do to change this? Updates or setting changes as it is very annoying problem!
