Ford Fiesta car radio not working?

Hi there,
Got a '98 Ford Fiesta, not in the best shape but it does the job. Sadly, the radio doesn't work but I don't think it's a blown fuse. I'm wondering what else may cause the radio to not turn on? It's the factory-fitted radio so it could just have given up the ghost, but I don't want to go shelling out for a new car radio if it's something that can be easily fixed. Will add more info if requested. Thanks!
I have the code, but how can I enter it when the unit itself won't switch on?
 
It's probably a security coded radio and you have to enter a PIN number to make it work after a battery disconnect.
