Ford F350, 6L power stroke diesel, power questions.?

I recently went on camping trip in my 07 F350 that has 67,000 miles and only towing about 8k max and after first hill had problems. I could not get the truck over 50 on the hills and it kept overheating. They told me this would tow three times the weight I needed. Any suggestions on what is wrong. I took it in and they said they have to replace the oil cooler and the EGR cooler. That sounds fine but to me sounds nothing like any answers for the power loss but I could be wrong.
 
Sounds like you will need them to do more than that. Overheating an engine is the worst thing you can do to it.
Maybe it triggered an electrical warning to keep it from killing it's self.
