I yanked my fuel tank , and of course my fuel pump is shot (truck sat up for a long time) so i know i need a new pump. I can look in my tank , and actually reach into the bottom, and pull out old sludge fuel , dirt , etc. And the insides have some harder dirt / crust junk around in there (no rust though i don't believe). SInce i have the tank out , is there a way to get that junk out? Any product / liquid "Something" i can put in and leave for a while? PLease help - can't afford a new tank.

go to an autoparts store and buy fuel tank cleaner. it should tell you how to dilute it and how much to put in your tank based on size. your tank should obviously be empty of gas before putting the cleaner in. Let it sit for awhile to get the sludge and grime free then hose it out completely. then let it sit for one or two days until it is completely dry, very important to make sure the tank is completely empty and dry before reinstalling and there you have it a clean tank =]
