My 2000 F150's door locks stop working when I lock and unlock in short period of time. It seems like the door locks work less effective each time they are locked/unlocked until they stop working - after leaving them alone for a few hours they sometimes work again. It almost seems like they do not get enough power (voltage or current) to lock or unlock. The problem seems to be worse on hot days - sometimes do not work at all. What could be the problem? I do not believe it to be the actuators (in the door), since left and right both started doing the exact same thing at the same time. I checked both of them - nothing is jamming and everything moves freely.
Any suggestions?
Already checked the remote batteries - same results by using the lock/unlock button on the door. Cleaned everything and testes the grounds under load - no volt drop/rise across them.
