2006 Ford F150 4X4 5.4 3V. The problem has been on going for a couple months now. When the truck is under load (going up a hill etc..) or when I hammer down and get the RPM,s above 3000 the engine begins to miss and shake. At first I thought it may be a fuel filter issue but the problem clears. The check engine light will come on for a short time then goes away. I finally was able to have it scanned while the check engine light was on. The only info was a misfire on #8. The truck has 70,xxx miles. I am now thinking maybe a bad coil pack. 90% of the time the truck runs fine. When it does act up It feels like I loose 70% of power. The strange thing is the check engine light will clear if I ease off the throttle or stop and re-start the engine
