I had my ring gear and pinion replace on my 2004 f 150 supercrew 4x4 and now the abs kicks on from time to time at low speed (under 15 mph) and inappropriate times (all low stopping speeds). I can feel the pedal get soft and move when the abs kicks on. The dealer had trouble putting in the ring gear and pinion, broke teeth on the ring gear and had to order another one. Once they did get it in I now have the abs problem. The Ford garage says they are out of ideas and I am driving this truck with the abs kicking on when it shouldn't. Also my dealer said the ring gear and pinion failed due to normal wear and tear. I now have about 64000 miles on the vehicle and that was 6 months to a year ago. Any help would be appreciated.
