Ford Explorer 1995 continues to stall on me!?

When I come to a stop or when I am coasting so that I am not speeding, the explorer will stall. I haven't found a cause however, when i removed the air hose that connects to the throttle body, the car idled fine while parked. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
