Ford Explore(1997) 100000 plus mile.?
Is it possible to go from San Diego to Las Vegas by this car??

I do not want to call AAA from the middle of Death Valley so.
 
Nope, you cant trust Ford Exploders, timing chain and timing chain tensioner malfunctions in the automatic variant (6 cyl) keep me and up two other mechanics at a Ford workshop in country Australia in a job. I love Fords as a rule and I know many many people who swear by them, but NOT Exploders. Ring a dealership and ask about timing chain life expectancy and repair costs if you dont believeve.
If its a V8 ignore all the previous stuff, LOVELY vehicle!!
