Hi,
I wonder if anyone can help me?
My 1993 Ford Escort has recently been written-off by my insurance company after an attempted theft.
The insurance company have offered me £155 in settlement, net of £100 excess. However I didn't think this was a fair reflection of the price as a friend had offered me £500 for it about a month before this happened.
The insurance company have said I need to look on Autotrader and provide three examples of a similar vehicle being sold in my local area, including prices, if I would like to negotiate settlement.
The problem is, I can't find any! I extended my search to nationwide and there are still no 1993 Escorts of the same model for sale!
Any suggestions as to how I could proceed with providing evidence that the car is worth more than they say.
The car is/was an L Reg Ford Escort. 1.6i LX. Hatchback. Had about 110K on the clock.
Thanks in advance.
