i just bought a 95 ford escort, when i first start it and start driving i have to get the car to almost redline the rpm's for it to shift into second. it only happens in first and only when the car is first started, if i stop after it shifts, it shifts fine. also. when i start to slow down, the car kinda jerks. i was thinking i need to change fluid, and possibly a vaccuum leak, does this seem on the right track? any advice would be awesome!! thank you!!!
