I'm driving a 1998 Ford Contour, and the back windows have stopped working. I've checked the child lock, and it's off, but they won't go down from the door switches or the drivers master switches.
I haven't pulled out the door panels yet, because I have no idea what to look for.
We bought it from a garage that repaired it before selling it, but I don't know if they just did the engine or checked those too and came up empty.
What I'm basically asking is if this is a common problem and if it is, what have you (or someone you've known) done to fix it?
Or if you haven't seen this before, what are some possible reasons for this problem and what should I do to try and fix it.
I'd like to fix it on my own, without having to take it to a mechanic, and as cheaply as possible (although I understand buying new parts is sometimes inevitable)
