what is the amount of debt that both of these companies have at this moment (for instance, 10% or 50%...) thank you :)
 
Total debt for Toyota (symbol TM): $136.8 Billion
Market Capitalization for TM: $104.05 Billion

Total debt for Ford (symbol F): $156.79 Billion
Market Capitalization for F: $5.88 Billion

These numbers are current as of 1/3/09 from Yahoo! Finance.

Divide the debt by the market cap, and you have its debt-to-equity ratio.
